The Low Heel Comeback - an empowering way to go
We all have already heard about this unapologetic trend, and from where I stand it has been a pretty steady trend, right? The low heel is obviously here to stay and we couldn't be prouder to, specifically, support this sort of social statement.

Perhaps, you as a younger woman, had the traumatic experience of wearing the so called stilettos – most of them so uncomfortable –  from the more formal or festive occasions to the most practical and sort of laid back ones. The stiletto was, more or less, the type of shoe to go and the height was never a problem.
Frankly, the higher the heel the sexier and more powerful we thought we could look. In terms of decades, the 00's were definitely the days where women were able to balance their style needs with their practical goals by choosing lower heels. We can't forget that women have evolved in terms of their social relevance and as soon as they started having more important roles at their jobs and even at home, women decide to find a good compromise between what society always told them to do (and expected to) and what they feel like to. Carrie Bradshaw felt the same dilemma every time she decided to buy shoes, however she always ended up buying some amazing and glamorous sandals  - great tip to re-watch all six seasons.

I am very must aware that the most “girly” of you must be processing the following thought: “Oh God, but is it possible to feel a true woman without super high heels on our feet?". My answer is yes. And truth to be told, if Carrie did so, so you can. Besides, brands have defined Millennials as their main concern design and strategy wise. Millennials (or Gen-Y) are digital natives and highly demanding when it comes to the quality and relevance of the product, for that reason, the footwear industry felt the need to adapt and grow to a point where the product is spot on (from structure, design and colour scheme) and completely aligned with every trend that is currently reigning the influencer scene.
These women, these “Millennial’s Walkers”, are proving that power comes from within and that you can walk as a vivid and confident women in mules while exploring Positano and still wear the very same shoes and be the Head of an entire department back in London.

Don’t forget that creative and colorful socks are super IN, so you can be adventurous and go from outrageous graphics and patterns to delicate lace and frills, while being your best self on a low heel style. Of course that you can simplify and just show off your knees while using a fluid long skirt or your favourite denim bermudas (so popular right now).

Bottom line, rules have changed. Stilettos are longer equal to status, confidence or sexiness, quite the opposite. Today women are focused on their mindset and inner state and, for that exact reason, they've decided to switch the paradigm and bring themselves, closer to the ground.

If you want to give a (useful and deserved) break from stilettos or even pumps, you better start being into sandals and mules - styles that have been shedding an entire new light on the street-style game for this Summer and on feminine self-expression.
